Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Muscular Dystrophy (MD), ALS and other Autoimmune Disease Patients

There are a number of significantly morbid and debilitating diseases caused by autoimmune system malfunctions including; Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Muscular Dystrophy (MD) and ALS. The number of US-based MS cases are approximately 400,000 (with approximately 2,000,000 in the other westernized countries of the world) while US-based MD cases number approximately 70,000 (with approximately 200,000 in the other westernized countries of the world) with a high percentage of such patients presenting with incontinence. Additionally, although in smaller numbers, ALS sufferers also present with incontinence in high percentages. The new severe incontinence treatment technology being presented by Precision Medical Devices (PMD) is designed, and expected to optimally treat the severer cases of urinary incontinence (UI) in these patient groups with the device being implanted in a 15 (to 20)-minute same day surgical procedure. For those patients that become more debilitated during the course of the disease, the PMD technology includes the promise of having a UI control device that could be activated using voice control systems. Additionally, the Company is already working on the design of a follow-on device expected to optimally treat fecal incontinence (FI), as well.
